Age Categories
These are determined based on the players’ ages at December 31, 2009, as follows: Minor Atom 2000: Major Atom 1999: Minor Peewee 1998: Major Peewee 1997: Minor Bantam 1996: Major Bantom 1995: Minor Midget 1994: Major Midget 1992/93

Tournament Format
8 teams (2 groups of 4) in each age category. Round robin within each group. Top 2 in each group advance to semi finals. You will play 1 game on Friday, 2 on Saturday, with the Semis & Finals on Sunday.

Calibre of Hockey:
Please note this is an “A” Tournament.
House League:Anyone can play regardless of ability
Select: Best players drawn from House League
“A” : Step up from Select
“AA” : Step up from “A”
“AAA” Step up from “AA”

Body Checking
Body checking starts in our league at the minor peewee (11years old) level.

Mandatory Equipment
You are governed by the requirements of you own league. Players must wear the equipment (mouth guards, neck guards etc.) as required by their own league

Location of Arena
Canlan Ice Sports, York is located on the grounds of York University in the north west part of Toronto at 989 Murray Ross Parkway, south of Steeles ave., east of Jane St., west of Keele St. It is a modern 6 arena complex and is visible from Steeles ave. Overlooking 5 of the arenas is a restaurant/bar where you can watch the action on the ice in comfort. The 6 pads are identified as A,B,C,D,E,F.

Directions from West of Toronto
401 east to 400 north to Steeles Ave, east (left), past Jane St, to Murray Ross Pkwy, south (right) to arena.
Alternate Route via 407ETR (Electronic Toll Highway - Toll Costs Click Here) 401 east to 407East, east to Jane, south to Steeles, east to arena.

Directions from East of Toronto
Similar to above, ie 401 west to 400. You could go North on Keele from the 401 to Steeles & west to the arena , however you would experience more traffic.
Alternate Route via 407ETR (see above) 401 west to 404, north to 407, west to Keele, south to Steeles, west to arena.
